The Best Friend 2011
This partnership project with The Best Friend educational charity took place in Thailand, in August 2011. The Best Friend is establishing libraries, educational opportunities and a better life for Burmese refugees. Whilst there, we interviewed refugees at the Nupo camp about their lives and reasons for fleeing Burma. We also visited the settlement at the Mae Sot rubbish dump, where we took photographs of the families and recorded further interviews. The short film above is a series of animations made by children at the 42KM Learning Centre.
See a set of photos taken by Martin Sercombe at the places we visited.
