The story of Adam Morland of Burgh St Peter, a poor farmer who entered into a pact with the devil in exchange for a bag of gold but dies before the devil was able to collect. Some say the old church tower was burned down by the devil in an act of revenge.

A little tale inspired by ghost stories told across the county of human bodies being buried or concealed in houses and only being discovered years later.
